At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Xiaomi officially pulled the wraps off the most powerful variant of its SUV lineup: the Xiaomi YU7 GT. This high-performance electric crossover is turning heads not only for its staggering power output but for its ambition to bring track-bred performance to the family vehicle segment.

Aggressive Design with a Touch of Luxury

While it shares its DNA with the standard YU7, the GT version adopts a significantly more aggressive aesthetic. To handle its immense power, the vehicle features widened wheel arches and a redesigned front fascia, sporting a blackened grille and specialized air intakes for optimized cooling.

Xiaomi has added a level of exclusivity rarely seen in this price bracket; the hood is adorned with a signature logo crafted from a blend of carbon fiber and 24K gold. The overall silhouette and commanding presence have already drawn comparisons to the Ferrari Purosangue, signaling Xiaomi’s intent to compete in the luxury performance space.

Hyper-Performance Specifications

The heart of the YU7 GT is its sophisticated dual-motor powertrain. It utilizes a 392-horsepower motor on the front axle and a potent 612-horsepower motor on the rear, delivering a combined total of 1,004 horsepower.

While it may not reach the extreme heights of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the YU7 GT easily outperforms many of its direct competitors. For comparison, the Porsche Macan Turbo Electric delivers 639 horsepower, leaving the YU7 GT with a significant power advantage.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Total Power: 1,004 hp
  • Top Speed: 300 km/h (approx. 186 mph)
  • Acceleration (0-100 km/h): Estimated at just over 2 seconds
  • Development: Rigorously tested and tuned at the legendary Nürburgring circuit

Track-Ready Engineering for the Road

Power is nothing without control, and Xiaomi has spared no expense in the YU7 GT’s chassis and handling. The vehicle is equipped with a cutting-edge air suspension system and advanced rear-axle torque vectoring to ensure precision cornering and stability at high speeds.

To keep the vehicle under control during hard braking, Xiaomi has partnered with Brembo to offer optional high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes, further cementing the car’s identity as a street-legal track weapon.

Competitive Pricing and Market Strategy

Perhaps the most disruptive aspect of the Xiaomi YU7 GT is its projected price point. While official pricing is pending, estimates suggest a range between 450,000 and 500,000 CNY (approximately $65,900 to $73,200 USD). This puts it at a more accessible price point than several configurations of the Porsche Macan Electric.

With this aggressive pricing and unmatched performance, Xiaomi aims to revitalize the YU7 series’ sales in China. After a dip in monthly deliveries from nearly 40,000 units in late 2025 to under 15,000 by March 2026, the YU7 GT is positioned as the “halo car” designed to draw buyers back to the brand with sheer power and value.
