Mitsubishi Vietnam has officially unveiled the refreshed version of its popular B-segment SUV, the Xforce. Marking its first significant update since its debut two years ago, the 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce focuses on enhancing the user experience through a suite of technological upgrades and safety features while maintaining its striking visual identity.

Timeless Design, Modern Lighting

Visually, the 2026 Xforce remains faithful to its predecessor, continuing to showcase the bold Dynamic Shield design language. The signature T-Shape LED lighting system remains a focal point, providing a commanding presence on the road from both the front and rear.

However, there are subtle but important improvements to the entry-level GLX trim. This version now ditches traditional halogen bulbs in favor of high-efficiency LED headlights and adds LED fog lights, ensuring better visibility and a more premium look across the entire lineup.

Interior Upgrades and Smart Technology

The most significant changes are found inside the cabin, where Mitsubishi has prioritized comfort and convenience. Key highlights include:

  • Power-Adjustable Seats: The Luxury and Ultimate trims now come equipped with an electric driver’s seat, adding a touch of luxury to daily commutes.
  • Enhanced Audio: The GLX trim receives a sonic boost, with the speaker count increasing from four to six.
  • Advanced Visibility: The top-tier Ultimate trim now features a 360-degree camera system, making parking and maneuvering in tight urban spaces effortless.
  • Standard Safety: Rear parking sensors, previously optional or trim-specific, are now standard equipment across all three versions.

Performance and Efficiency

Under the hood, the 2026 Xforce retains its reliable 1.5L MIVEC gasoline engine. Delivering approximately 104 horsepower and a maximum torque of 141 Nm, the engine is paired with a smooth Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Efficiency remains a strong suit, with an average fuel consumption of around 5.5 liters per 100 km, making it an ideal choice for city dwellers.

Pricing and Trim Levels

The 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce is available in three distinct versions. While there is a slight price increase compared to the previous model, it reflects the added value of the new technology:

  • GLX: 605 million VND (an increase of approx. 6 million VND)
  • Luxury: 665 million VND (an increase of approx. 25 million VND)
  • Ultimate: 720 million VND (an increase of approx. 15 million VND)

The Verdict: Staying Competitive in a Crowded Market

By strategically increasing prices and layering in highly requested tech features, Mitsubishi is doubling down on its quest to lead the B-SUV segment. In an era where the urban SUV market is becoming increasingly crowded with new challengers like the Omoda C5, Geely Coolray, and the updated BYD Dolphin, the 2026 Xforce proves that Japanese engineering is ready to compete head-on in the tech race.
