After a year since its debut, Mitsubishi has rolled out the first refresh of the Xpander Hybrid at the 2026 Bangkok Motorshow. The new look gives the popular seven‑seat MPV a sportier edge while keeping its practical dimensions.
Exterior makeover
The front fascia receives a bolder grille with a horizontal LED light bar that flows into the head‑lamp cluster. A thick, metal‑framed surround now frames the fog lights, adding a pronounced visual depth. The rear end stays largely the same, aside from a restyled bumper and slightly lower tail‑lamp assembly.
Dimensions stay the same
- Length × Width × Height: 4,595 mm × 1,750 mm × 1,750 mm
- Wheelbase: 2,775 mm
- Seven‑seat layout with generous rear‑legroom
Inside the cabin
The interior retains the sleek gray‑black theme. Key tech includes an electronic parking brake, a digital instrument cluster, and a floating 10‑inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Powertrain and driving modes
The refreshed Xpander Hybrid is equipped with Mitsubishi’s e:MOTION HEV system. A 1.6‑liter four‑cylinder gasoline engine produces 95 hp (71 kW) and 134 Nm of torque. Paired with an electric motor, the combined output reaches 116 hp and 255 Nm.
Drivers can choose from seven modes:
- Normal
- Wet
- Gravel
- Tarmac
- Mud
- EV 100 % (pure electric)
- EV Charge
Pricing and market outlook
In Thailand the Xpander Hybrid is priced at around 939,000 Baht (≈ US $29,150). Mitsubishi has not announced plans to bring the hybrid version to Vietnam yet, although a gasoline‑engine facelift of the Xpander was launched there in September 2025, priced between 598 million and 659 million VND.
If introduced, the Xpander Hybrid would compete with the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid, MG G50, BYD M6 and VinFast Limo Green in the growing “green MPV” segment.
